I HAVE a set of coins in a wallet, with February 15, 1971 (decimalisation day) on them. Are they worth more because of that date? W. M., West Sussex. A SPOKESMAN for coin specialists Spink says: ‘As these sets are common — hundreds of thousands were issued — they are of no commercial value.’ I TOOK out a loan in 2007. I heard that many were sold with payment protection insurance and this can be claimed back. Is this true? M. P., by email.
UNTIL recently, many unsecured loans included payment protection policies as part of the agreement.
This is supposed to cover repayments if you are forced to leave work due to accident, illness or redundancy.
But many were missold, because they were added to repayments without agreement or was a condition of getting the loan.
